UPDATE: Officials with the Stansbury Park Improvement District said Thursday around 5 p.m. that water samples had been tested and that the water in the area is safe to drink.
STANSBURY PARK, Utah - Officials are warning those in Stansbury Park to boil their water before drinking it.
The district said five and nine water samples tested positive for coliform bacteria.
Coliforms are present in the environment and usually not harmful.
However, the presence of the bacteria in drinking water may mean the water is contaminated with disease-causing organisms.

The district said it will collect 15 additional samples to confirm if the bacteria is in the water.
Officials said the district chlorinated the reservoirs overnight and flushed hydrants Wednesday in an effort to disinfect the system.
