In the last several years, a large number of military personnel once deployed in Afghanistan or Iraq have been coming home, and many of them are looking for employment in the civilian workforce.
It's not as easy as it sounds, as many returning veterans can be unsure and intimidated by the prospects of finding a good, non-military job. Wednesday, 130 employers were on hand taking resumes and applications from vets at the "Hero 2 Hired" veteran's job fair.
The fair was held between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the South Towne Exposition Center, and FOX 13 News' Dave Nemeth was on hand for the event. See the video above for his report.
