PROVO, Utah – Police have arrested a suspect accused of robbing a Provo credit union with only a note, no weapons.
Authorities said 25-year-old Provo resident Daniel Sparks is behind bars for allegedly robbing the Utah Community Credit Union near 1500 S. 40 E. back on Nov 19.
Officials said Sparks passed a note to a teller stating “This is a robbery,” and demanded money.
Police said the suspect never flashed a weapon or even mentioned one.
The teller gave Sparks an unconfirmed amount of cash and he ran from the bank.
After releasing surveillance photos, a tip led police to Sparks.
They arrested him for the robbery and possession of a controlled substance, both second-degree felonies.
