SALT LAKE CITY – The 12th Annual Salt Lake City Marathon is a little more than four months away and race officials want runners to be aware of all they need to know about the run as they are training.
The race is now under new ownership.
Lifetime Fitness acquired the company that owned the SLC Marathon in January.
“We’re running the same course that we did last year so people know what to expect, we know what to expect from an organization standpoint,” Sarah Pitts said, Lifetime Fitness brand director. “The course is iconic; it’s going to hit a lot of the places in Salt Lake City, we want to showcase the city.”
There will not be prize money for the top finishers of the marathon.
If you aren’t up for the full marathon, a half-marathon, bike tour, 5K, inline skating experience and a kids’ run are also available.
