SALT LAKE CITY — Police are seeking a man suspected of snatching a purse from a woman in a wheelchair Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 5:29 p.m., the victim was looking through a donation bin at the Rancho Market, 140 N. 900 West, when a man grabbed her purse and forcefully pulled it away from her, ripping her jacket in the process, according to the Salt Lake City police watch log.
The suspect then fled east on North Temple with two women.
Police described the suspect as a 40-year-old black man wearing a red jacket over a black jacket with a black hat.
The first woman was described as 40 years old, white, with long brown hair in a ponytail wearing a white jacket.
The second woman was also about 40 with long brown hair wearing a long black jacket.
