WILLARD BAY STATE PARK – Police are searching for a Division of Natural Resources vehicle that was stolen, and there were two firearms in the back of the truck.

Lt. Erick Stucki, Utah State Parks, said the truck, described as a silver 2014 Ford pickup truck, was stolen from a locked, fenced-in yard while the keys were with the driver.

Stucki said the lock on the gate was not damaged, and that somehow the thief managed to remove the lock and take off in the truck, which had a rifle, a shotgun and winter gear that belonged to the driver inside.

The truck has a DNR decal on the side and has a light bar on top. The truck is pictured in the photo above.

Stucki said this is the first time a state parks vehicle has been stolen from Willard Bay State Park.

Anyone with information about the theft or who sees the truck is asked to call the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office at 435-734-3800.
