Rainn Wilson is well-known for his role on "The Office", where he played the quirky paper salesman Dwight Schrute. Wilson is the star of a new show that premieres Thursday night on FOX 13, and he spoke with Dave Nemeth about the new show. Wilson plays Det. Everett Backstrom, who the actor says, "has a very dark worldview."
Backstrom doesn't always get along with the people he meets, but he is very good at his job. Wilson said the show involves crime and comedy, a combination he calls a "crimedy."
"Backstrom is, you can do almost anything," Wilson said. "He has no filter, completely un-politically correct. He just says what's on his mind, and that is really fun as an actor."
See the video above for Wilson's interview, and tune in to FOX 13 at 8 p.m. Thursday for the premiere of "Backstrom", and stay tuned after for FOX 13 News at 9 p.m.
