Posted

SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police in South Salt Lake announced Saturday that a man reported missing earlier this week has been found dead in a rural area of Nevada near Great Basin National Park.

Police officials had sought the public’s help in locating Kyle Trammell. People were concerned because the man’s cell phone and social media profiles had been deactivated prior to him going missing. Click here for more details on the disappearance.

According to a press release from South Salt Lake police, the man’s vehicle was located Thursday in a remote area of Great Basin National Park in Nevada. Crews searched the area, and around 10 a.m. Friday Nevada officers from the White Pine County Sheriff’s Office located Trammell’s body.

The release did not provide specific details regarding the cause of death, stating only: “Kyle Trammell had taken his own life.”

FOX 13 News does not generally report on deaths that appear to be suicides unless there is a broader impact to the public, as in the case of a publicized search for a missing person.
