Police respond to 7-Eleven robbery in Roy

ROY CITY, Utah — Roy City police are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in a convenience store robbery Monday night.

The robbery occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. at a 7-Eleven located at 2041 W. 5600 South. An employee from the store contacted Weber County Consolidated Dispatch Center shortly after the robbery occurred, according to a press release from police.

According to police, the suspect walked into the convenience store and demanded money from the till. Afterward he produced a note telling the employee not to call police for two minutes after he left.

No weapon was seen or mentioned.

The suspect was last seen running west on 5600 South.

The suspect is described as Caucasion, is 6 feet and 1 inch tall and weights 180 pounds.

Surveillance video show the the suspect wearing a multi-colored coat, a black beanie, green sock or mitten on his right hand, gray pants, light-colored shoes and a goatee.
