WEST JORDAN, Utah – Authorities are investigating what caused a van to slam into a West Jordan home overnight.

Officials were called to a home near 2500 W. and 74th S. at about 9:30 p.m.  Wednesday.

A maroon van somehow lost control and run into a house, hitting a load-bearing wall.

First responders did not say of the driver had a medical issue or not.

The driver and passenger in the van had minor injuries.

The homeowners were in the house but weren’t hurt.

They had to find another place to sleep for the night.

Officials said they aren’t sure when or if it will be safe for the residents to go back home.

Building inspectors are checking the structural integrity of the home Thursday.
