SALT LAKE CITY -- The American Heart Association says that each year one in three women will die due to heart disease or stroke, and an annual event aims to raise awareness of the dangers of heart disease--as experts say 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented.
Friday marks the 12th Annual National Wear Red Day, where participants, both people and businesses, "go red" to make a statement against heart disease and encourage people to learn about methods of prevention and about the ways lifestyle changes can improve heart health.
