Utah has ranked in a new Gallup pole that shows the states with the highest and lowest church attendance.
According to the study, just more than half of Utah residents (51 percent) said they attend religious services every week.
That puts Utah in the No. 1 spot for church attendance in the U.S.
Southern states are next for the number of church-goers; Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Arkansas come in just under 47 percent.
So what state ranks on the other end of the spectrum?
Vermont ranked as the state with the least weekly attenders at 17 percent.
