SALT LAKE CITY – A man named last month as the Unified Police Department Metro Gang Unit’s Public Enemy Number One was arrested Wednesday in Sacramento, California, and police said last month the man is a member of a violent street gang who was wanted for six counts of attempted murder.
According to a press release from police, 19-year old Michael S. Bonilla was arrested in California after a number of leads from the investigation led officers to the man, who had been listed on a national criminal database.
The man was wanted on state warrant that included six counts of attempted murder and four counts of felony discharge of a firearm. The man has prior arrests for assault and drugs. The man was identified as the unit’s Public Enemy Number one in January of this year.
