Suspect in Sugar House murder arrested

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police have arrested a man accused of killing another man in Sugar House last month.

Police said Jeremiah Hart, 42, has been booked into jail for aggravated murder in connection with the shooting death of 24-year-old Christian McDonald.

According to a press release, a driver found McDonald lying in a parking strip near 1224 E Parkway Ave. on the evening of January 24. McDonald had suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Numerous witnesses told police Hart shot McDonald as the result of a robbery.

Hart’s wife, 22-year-old Daisy Hart, was also arrested for obstruction of justice, police said.

Jeremiah Hart also faces charges of obstruction of justice, aggravated robbery, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
