WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah — A probable cause statement reveals new details about the death of a Washington Terrace woman whose body was found in her apartment Friday.

Police discovered Lindsay Holbrook’s body when they went to her apartment to inform her that her car had been involved in a hit-and-run crash. Using eyewitness testimony, video evidence and physical evidence, police identified the man who was driving Holbrook’s car as Lyle Robert London.

London was also connected to a financial crime investigation in which Holbrook was the victim, the statement said.

Police located London and read him his Miranda rights. According to the probable cause statement, London told police he had been having sex with Holbrook and that he fell on top of her, possibly breaking her neck.

“[London] wrapped his belt around her neck, duct taped pillows around her head, and struck her multiple times in the head with a bat in an attempt to keep her quiet,” the probable cause statement said. “[London] then wrapped the body in a blanket and hid it in a closet.”

An autopsy showed Holbrook suffered multiple blunt force lacerations on her head. Since the time of her reported death, multiple withdrawals from her accounts and purchases with her credit cards, totaling about $1,500, were made, the probable cause statement said.

Police said London admitted that he had used Holbrook’s credit cards and account information to withdraw money and make purchases. London’s wife, Shuree London, has also been identified as a suspect in the case.lyle-and-shuree-london

During an interview with detectives, Shuree London said Lyle told her that he planned to kill Holbrook, take her credit cards and financial information and use the money to move the Londons and their children to California by RV, the statement said.

Lyle London has been charged with aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, abuse/desecration of a body, unlawful possession of a stolen financial card and unlawful use of a financial card. All of the charges are felonies.

Shureee London has been charged with obstruction of justice, also a felony.

Both were booked into the Weber County Jail.
