SANDY, Utah - Authorities found a man's body inside a Sandy home after a standoff Thursday morning.
The SWAT team was called in to contact a man who was barricaded inside the house.
Authorities said residents near 9200 S. Quail Hollow Dr. are now safe to leave their homes.
They were asked to shelter in place until the situation was resolved.
Officials said a woman called 911 and said a man had fired several shots inside his home at about 3:45 a.m.
Sgt. Dean Carriger said officers heard one additional gunshot when they arrived on scene.
The man's identity has not been released at this time.
