WEBER COUNTY, Utah — Police are searching for three suspects who may be connected to a pair of armed robberies and a hit-and-run accident, all of which occurred Sunday in the Ogden area.

A man was sitting in his car on Southwell Street when a man tapped on the window, displayed a gun and demanded the victim turn over his phone and wallet. The suspect then fled.

A short time later, police received report of a similar style of crime. A man and a woman allegedly approached a person in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart, 534 North Harrisville Road, and stole the victim’s wallet, cash and phone at gunpoint. The pair had approached the victim after trying to make a purchase inside, but the card they used was declined.

The suspects left with another man, and they were driving a gold Ford Explorer. Police said that vehicle may have been involved in a hit-and-run accident that occurred a short time after the thefts, as the vehicle descriptions match. The hit-and-run crash was in the area of 11th Street and Washington Boulevard in Ogden.

The three suspects are described as being Hispanic, and one suspect is described further as being about 5-feet, 8-inches tall. He weighs about 200 pounds and has a moustache. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and tan pants.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the alleged crimes is asked to call dispatch officials in Ogden at 801-629-8221.
