- 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1/4 cup pizza or spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chives
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
In a skillet, cook ground beef, onions, mushrooms, oregano, basil, salt and pepper at medium-high heat, stirring from time to time, 3 to 5 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Drain any fat. Set aside.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough in a circle of 12 inches of diameter. Put on a greased pizza baking sheet. Spread sauce on the pizza dough. Garnish with beef and mushroom and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Cook on the lowest rack for about 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and crust is golden brown. Top with red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese
