PROVO, Utah – Eleven-year-old Zack Francom believes when life gives you lemons, you can do more than make lemonade.
Six years ago, when Zack was in first grade, his school challenged students to raise money to buy wheelchairs for children around the world.
Each wheelchair costs about $86, and Zack wanted to do everything he could to help so he started his lemonade and homemade cookie stand called "Zack's Shack".
"The first year we got one wheelchair, and then it has just been getting bigger every year,” Zack said.
Since he began, Zack has donated more than 330 wheelchairs to people in need. Zack’s Shack will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and it is located at 556 East Center Street in Provo.
Visit Zack’s websitefor more information about the project or visit their GoFundMe page to make a contribution to the cause.
