SALT LAKE CITY -- The 2015 Salt Lake City Marathon is Saturday, and on Friday thousands were getting ready for the fun.
The 26.2-mile race through Salt Lake City will finish at Liberty Square, and some notable names are among the participants, like Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox.
An expo is being held Friday until 8 p.m. in preparation for the race, and The Quality of Life Expo is at the Salt Palace downtown. The expo features a variety of vendors, including ones showing off some of the latest gear for runners.
“We’ve got nutrition here, we’ve got sponsors here, we’ve got people with questions, we’ve got [Utah Transit Authority] here answering questions about transportation--Anything you need to know, we've got it here,” said Jennifer Nelson of Lifetime Fitness.
Thousands of people are expected to line the streets supporting and encouraging the athletes. Click here for a map of the course and details of the race.
