SALT LAKE CITY — Elder Richard G. Scott, an apostle for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been released from the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being hospitalized for gastrointestinal bleeding.
Elder Scott, 86, was taken to the hospital April 23. He is now recuperating at home, according to a release from the LDS Church Tuesday night.
Elder L. Tom Perry, also an apostle for the LDS Church, was hospitalized last week. The 92-year-old was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
Elder Perry was released from the hospital last week. Officials say he remains at home where he is receiving General Authority visitors and conducting church business.
