With aging comes an increase in health issues that vary in severity.
FOX 13 News’ Dave Nemeth spoke with Denice Druce who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 52-year-old woman is a wife and a mother of three children. She’s also a successful yoga instructor.
A few weeks ago a biopsy came back positive for breast cancer. Instead of letting fear grip her, Druce decided to tackle the disease head on.
After meeting with her surgical oncologist, it was decided Druce’s best treatment option would be a double mastectomy. While it was an aggressive decision, it was one that would reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
Two weeks after her surgery, Druce was back to her life and back to teaching yoga.
