Customers who recently ate at Cedar City Pizza Cart possibly exposed to Hepatitis A

CEDAR CITY, Utah – Customers who ate at the Pizza Cart in Cedar City, between April 29 and June 1 may have been exposed to Hepatitis A, according to the St. George News. 

The Southwest Utah Public Health Department confirmed that a food handler working at the Pizza Cart near 12th S. and Sage Dr. has tested positive for the virus.

A post on the pizza cart`s Facebook page stated: “This employee is recovering and will not be returning to work until medically cleared.”

Health officials said anyone who has been previously vaccinated for Hepatitis A is protected.

Customers who recently ate at the Pizza Cart should contact their doctor or health care provider if they develop symptoms of the illness.
