SYRACUSE, Utah – The city of Syracuse remains under a boil order as officials continue to test the water to ensure it is safe for residents.
Tuesday officials said the secondary water system is recharging and should have full water pressure by the end of the day.
A water line mix-up seven years ago bubbled to the surface in Syracuse when the water tested positive for both E. coli and coliform Friday.
Officials are asking residents not to use their sprinklers Tuesday while the city refills the secondary water mains.
Authorities said if residents don’t water Tuesday, they hope to have full pressure by Wednesday when residents may be able to water again. ‘
