MURRAY, Utah - An Unified officer is recovering after he was hit by a semi truck carrying fuel in Murray Friday morning.
Authorities said he was released from the hospital hours later after being treated for minor injuries.
Crews said the large amount of fuel in the truck was a concern but it did not spill in the accident near 4500 S. and 500 W.
Officers said the officer was driving eastbound and the truck was turning when they collided.
The driver of the fuel tanker was not injured.
Roads in the area are back open at this time.
