TOOELE COUNTY, Utah – Fire crews are battling a 10-acre fire in Tooele County.
Officials said the fire on Stansbury Island started at about 1 a.m.
Crews said the surrounding terrain was too rugged for crews to make much headway in the dark so they left the blaze and came back after sunrise.
Sea planes are helping firefighters, dropping more than 800 gallons of retardant on the flames Monday.
Bureau of Land Management crews will help fight the flames from the ground.
Officials said the hot weather and the dry conditions.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
