- 2 brats
- 6 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 Tbs. butter
- 3 12oz. beers (water or chicken stock may be used as a substitute)
In a stockpot over medium heat melt the butter. Add the garlic and onion when the butter is bubbly. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or aromatic. Pour in the beer, turn the heat to high and bring to a boil. Once boiling reduce to a simmer, add the brats. Cook the brats for 8 to 10 minutes in the flavored beer.
Preheat your grill then turn heat to medium low. Finish cooking the brats on the grill to an internal temperature of 165 F or 8 to 10 minutes. The brats should have a golden brown color.
