DRAPER, Utah – The Utah State Department of Corrections is warning people not to fly drones over the prison in Draper.
A prison employee spotted a drone flying over one of the recreations yards in July which forced the yards to shut down with employees searched for the drone or anything it could have dropped.
Officials didn’t find anything this time but said they are concerned about security threats from drones in the future.
Authorities said bringing contraband onto prison grounds, including by a drone, is a serious crime.
