BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah – Rescue crews were busy over the weekend after several people got cliffed out while hiking.
The first hikers needed to be rescued at about 10 p.m. Sunday in Big Cottonwood Canyon by the Brighton Ski Resort.
Crews said a woman was cliffed out and yelled down to her friend who then called for help.
Teams from Little Cottonwood Canyon and Big Cottonwood Canyon helped get both women to safety.
Then a man got cliffed out near Mount Olympus while hiking alone.
Rescue crews said he didn’t have much battery left on his cell phone so they had to use a GPS to find him.
All who were rescued are expected to make a full recovery.
Rescue crews are reminding everyone to make sure someone knows where you are going before you leave.
