Big Budah’s blog: ‘Be careful what you wish for’

“Be careful what you wish for.”

That popular expression is exactly how I feel about this week and my workouts!

I have been working out in the afternoons immediately following work, but then I realized that Vasa Fitness is open 24 hours, so I decided to start working out before work at 3 and 3:30 a.m.

On one occasion I asked Team Fleks founder Philip Filimoeatu to work out with me, and that is when I discovered two new swear words: “Bike Sprints.” For thirty seconds,  you ride as fast as you can–like you’re in a race for your life. And you do this four times. It is the equivalent of being on the elliptical machine for 45 minutes.

The early morning workouts are definitely getting easier to wake up for, and I hope I can continue to hang because next week I plan to have two-a-days: a workout at 3 a.m and another immediately following work in the afternoon…. We’ll see how long that lasts.

Thank you to everyone for the support and encouraging words. A special shout out to Team Fleks for allowing me to be included, big ups to the fellas Philip Filimoeatu & Sione Havili for the great info and push they have given me. See y’all next week!
