SALT LAKE CITY — A woman was shot in the leg after a gang fight broke out at a Salt Lake City bar early Sunday morning, police confirm.
The shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. at the Moose Lounge, 180 W. 400 South. A fight started in the bar after several people began throwing beer bottles at each other, said Lt. Andy Oblad with Salt Lake City police.
The fight spilled into the parking lot and shots were fired. Oblad said a woman was hit in the leg and was taken to an area hospital in fair condition.
After the shooting, police say, two Hispanic men got into a car, fired four to five shots into the large crowd then drove away.
No one else was injured.
Police say the large crowd made it difficult for officers and witnesses to identify the suspects or their getaway car.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000.
