FARMINGTON, Utah - It’s one of Lagoon’s most popular attractions, Frightmares. Running from mid-September through Halloween, the collection of ghost, ghouls and laughs starts months before the first scary creature starts roaming the park.
"We start construction of all the attractions, there are seven, we start that in June, July, start building things in August,” said Adam Leishman, a Spokesman for Lagoon. He says planning starts at the beginning of the season and it takes hundreds of people, from up and down the Wasatch Front, to pull it all off. "We're lucky that we get good actors that come through here and they want to be here and a lot of them come specifically to be part of Frightmares."
Frightmares has been an evolving tradition at Lagoon for 20 years and they show no signs of stopping.
