OREM, Utah — A man who was facing numerous charges in connection with a sexual abuse case in Orem pleaded guilty to a charge of child sodomy Monday, and in exchange for the plea several other charges were dropped.
Jayson Quade Johnson, 27, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted and sexually abused a girl who was walking to Cherry Hill Elementary School in Orem last February.
The man pleaded guilty to a charge of child sodomy, and other charges against the man were dropped that included kidnapping, aggravated sexual abuse of a child, and witness tampering.
Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced in November.
