SALT LAKE CITY — Earlier this month, the website SmartAsset compiled a list of the “Top 10 Cities for Career Opportunities” and that list put three Utah cities in the top four.
According to SmartAsset, the sampling considered factors like growth rate, the number of jobs, career wage growth, and the number of career and vocational counselors in each area.
Provo topped the list at No. 1, with the website touting the prevalence of tech startups and other factors, like the proximity of both BYU and UVU.
Logan placed second on the list, with SmartAsset pointing to an unemployment rate of 3.3 percent and a housing cost “well below the national average for metro areas.”
Fargo, North Dakota was the lone non-Utah city in the top four, and Salt Lake City in fourth place rounds out the Beehive State’s contribution to the list.
