SALT LAKE CITY — Making signs is a big part of College GameDay, and with the ESPN show in Salt Lake City Saturday for the Utah game against Cal, there have been plenty of clever jokes in picket sign form.

But, one Utah fan’s grammatical error garnered attention online for the irony inherent in the sign, which sought to belittle another school’s academic record while simultaneously showing off the sign maker’s seeming lack of education. College GameDay called out the mistake on Twitter, and the post was very popular.

In fact, later the account tweeted the fan’s sign had won a sign vote contest.

FOX 13 News’ Jeff McAdam was at the U of U campus Friday night to talk to fans who were camping out and making signs of their own in anticipation of the big game, see below for those interviews.
