SALT LAKE CITY — A 24-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday morning after a five-hour standoff at a Salt Lake City home.

The standoff started around 9:15 p.m. Monday and ended around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday at a home near 400 N Redwood Rd.

Police said the family of 24-year-old Raul Flores called them, reporting he was high and they were worried about their safety.

When officers arrived, Flores wouldn’t come out of the home, so a SWAT team was called in.

The SWAT team used a robot to communicate with Flores and he surrendered after five hours.

Flores was wanted for warrants, including a parole violation.

No one was hurt in the incident.
