SALT LAKE CITY — In the final days of the Salt Lake City mayoral race, a new UtahPolicy.com poll indicates challenger Jackie Biskupski has a slight lead over incumbent Ralph Becker, though the two percent gap falls within the margin of error.
The Dan Jones & Associates poll shows Biskupski is leading 48-46 percent among likely voters, with a margin of error of 3.82 percent.
From the UtahPolicy.com poll:
According to the polling data, Biskupski leads among those who have already voted, 52-45 percent. Conversely, among voters who have yet to cast their ballot, Becker leads 48-41 percent. Jones told Utah Policy this means a high voter turnout on Election Day favors Becker.
“At 50 percent turnout, Biskupski should keep her lead,” Jones said, according to the press release from Utah Policy. “If it goes to 55 percent, it could go either way. But if it reaches 60 percent voter participation Becker will probably win.”
