EDIT: According to CBS, Golden has been fired from Taco Bell.  Part of their statement reads the company “…offered and encouraged him to seek professional help.”

COSTA MESA, Calif. – An Uber driver said he was forced to use pepper spray to stop a passenger from attacking him in California.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the driver, Edward Caban, posted video of the attack on YouTube after Friday’s alleged debacle.

Officers said the rider, 32-year-old Benjamin Golden, who works for Taco Bell, didn’t give the driver the address and would not direct him to the destination.

Caban told authorities Golden faded in and out of consciousness and so he pulled into a parking lot and told him the ride was over and to get out.

KNBC reported that is when Golden started beating Caban in the head and was cursing at him while pulling the driver’s hair.

Caban pulled out his pepper spray to stop Golden from attacking him and called 911.

Officers arrested Golden for public intoxication and assault.

Caban said he posted the video because he wants others to know the dangers Uber drivers encounter; he said this was not his first violent passenger.
