SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s state-run liquor stores did even better than they expected, breaking records for sales.

The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control said the day before Thanksgiving, it sold more than $3.2 million in liquor. That’s up nearly $200,000  from 2014. The DABC has said the holiday season is the most busy time of year for state-run liquor stores.
