Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Korinne Bouwhuis is talking about replacing Presents with Presence.
'Give whatever you are doing and whoever you are with the gift of your attention.'

1- Disconnect from Documenting
-Live the experience fully instead.
-If pictures are a must for you, get all the necessary ones up front so you can set the camera aside without worrying.
2- Take a Deep Breath
-A deep breath from your belly is one way to strengthen what known as your 'vagal tone.' This is important because the vagal nerve is the commander-in-chief when it comes to having grace under pressure.
3- Direct Your Mind
-Avoid letting your mind direct you with each thought that may cross it, or with each distraction or list it may present.
-Access your sensory input to check back into living in the moment. What do you see, hear, feel, smell, taste?
4- Practice Mindfulness
-Focus on doing one thing at a time.
-What is my goal or purpose at this exact moment?
