14-month-old Utahn takes to the slopes, proves to be a natural at snowboarding

PARK CITY, Utah -- Many Utahns love to get out into the mountains to ski and snowboard, and one particularly young Utahn was spotted shredding the slopes in Park City Friday.

At just 14 months old, Sloan Henderson of North Salt Lake has only recently learned to walk, but her family is already teaching her to snowboard.

Her parents got her a snowboard for Christmas and were training her around the house and in their backyard the last few weeks before taking her up the mountain.

And, as you can see in the video, she's a natural.

“It's kinda funny now, we just joke that maybe she'll be in the Olympics or maybe she'll go pro, but honestly we just want her to have fun,” said Katie Henderson, Sloan’s mother.

Sloan’s parents say at first, they didn't know if she'd enjoy snowboarding, but they were thrilled to find she loved it.
