Dr. Adam Elhaddi, a cardiologist at Jordan Valley Medical Center, demonstrated a leg screening on a patient.  Leg screenings can help to detect peripheral artery disease.

Symptoms of Peripheral Artery Disease:

  • Cramping
  • Ache in legs
  • Trouble walking
  • Coldness in lower leg or foot
  • Sores that won’t heal on legs or feet
  • Numbness or weakness

People at risk of Peripheral Artery Disease:

  • Smokers
  • Diabetics
  • People with high blood pressure
  • People with coronary heart disease
