SALT LAKE CITY – Many people in the Salt Lake Valley are reporting Comcast/Xfinity outages.
According to The Next Web, Comcast is reporting outages across the country, including Utah.
DownDetector.com reported San Francisco and New York were seeing the worst outages Monday.
Internet outages seem to be the most reported issue with a spike between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET.
Comcast confirmed the outage in a statement on its website earlier Monday:
“We’re continuing to investigate what appears to be a temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning. Our engineers have been working on this and services are starting to be restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers.”
However, now the website displays this message when users try to view outage information:
“We’re working to make your experience even better.
An update is currently underway and what you’re trying to access isn’t available right now. We’ll have everything back up and running in just a few hours, so please try back later. Thanks for your understanding as we work to make this the best customer experience possible.”
