SALT LAKE CITY — A resolution filed in the Utah State Legislature seeks to declare #Utah and #SkiUtah as the official state hashtags.
Sen. Todd Weiler, R-Woods Cross, himself a popular figure on Twitter in the #utpol hashtag, is sponsoring the resolution.
He states in it that it would promote Utah and tourism on social media.
A resolution is merely a statement from the legislature and has no binding authority.
