(CNN) — A Kansas woman has been charged with giving two weapons used in Thursday’s deadly shootings to gunman Cedric Ford, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Friday.

Sarah T. Hopkins, 28, Newton was charged with one count of knowingly transferring a firearm to a convicted felon, Grissom announced.

A criminal complaint identified the weapons as a Zastava Serbia semiautomatic rifle and a Glock 22 40-caliber pistol.

Three people were killed and 16 were wounded in the shooting, and police believe a protective order served on the suspect sparked the shootings.
