LONG ISLAND, New York — A father-daughter outing nearly ended in disaster when the plane they were in fell 2,000 feet to the ground, Saturday.
Louis Obergh was piloting with his daughter in Long Island when the aircraft lost engine power. The emergency parachute attached to the plane helped guide it to a landing.
A surveillance camera caught the aircraft crashing onto a grassy area of an industrial park. Watch the video above.
Obergh and his daughter survived the crash sustaining no injuries.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
