SALT LAKE CITY — The day after Marco Rubio fights to win a primary in his home state of Florida, the senator seeking to become the Republican’s choice for president will campaign in Utah.
According to a press release detailing the candidate’s schedule for the upcoming week, Rubio will be campaigning in Utah on Wednesday, March 16, and he will continue to campaign for part of Thursday before traveling to California to attend some finance events.
The press release did not offer any specific details about where in Utah Rubio would be and what he would be doing. Rubio is likely to return to Utah within the week, as a debate featuring the Republican candidates for president is scheduled for March 21 in Salt Lake City.
While the GOP in Utah states that debate is still going forward, some recent remarks from Donald Trump cast doubt on whether the frontrunner will attend.
