DENVER -- The Utes play Fresno State Thursday night in their opening round of the NCAA Tournament, and the excitement for March Madness is high among fans in Denver for the contest.
FOX 13 Sports' Jeff Rhineer is at the Pepsi Center in Denver for the match-up, and he's talking to fans ahead of the game between No. 3 seed Utah and No. 14-seed Fresno State, which is scheduled for 5:27 p.m. Thursday.
Rhineer also spoke with players and coaches after Wednesday night's practice, including senior forward Jordan Loveridge.
"It wasn't even thought of a couple of years ago that Utah would even be on this stage as a number 3 seed," Loveridge said. "It's just exciting for the state and our program."
Weber State University joins Utah in representing the Beehive State in the NCAA Tournament. The No. 15-seeded Wildcats face No. 2 Xavier Friday in St. Louis.
