SNOWBIRD, Utah -- From the top of a mountain to the Cathedral of the Madeleine, Christians across Utah observed Easter during a variety of special services.
More than 800 people gathered at 11,000 feet at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort to celebrate Easter with a sunrise service Sunday.
Starting at about 6 a.m., crowds took the tram up to Hidden Peak to watch the sun peek over the Wasatch mountains.
The sunrise was followed by a short sermon to commemorate the Christian holiday.
At the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, a similar message was delivered in a more traditional setting. FOX 13 News' Danica Lawrence has more on both services held Sunday, see the video above for her report.
