MANCHESTER, Conn. — Two people were arrested in Connecticut Saturday night after a fight that allegedly began over some crab legs in a buffet line.

FOX 61 in Connecticutreports the fight occurred around 8 p.m. local time Saturday at a buffet in Manchester, and the dispute about crab legs escalated to become a physical confrontation.

A 21-year-old man suffered a cut on his lip and a broken tooth after he was allegedly punched in the face. The man’s mother reportedly deployed pepper spray against the suspects in order to prevent further assaults on his person.

Clifford Knight, 46, and Lataya Knight, 38, were arrested after the fight. Clifford Knight faces charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, while Lataya Knight faces charges of disorderly conduct and making threats.

The woman who deployed pepper spray was not charged, as authorities determined she had acted in self defense.
